For the past three years my daughter, Jenny, has been home schooling with K12 online classes, and we found it’s much better than normal schools. Here are the reasons why:
- The learning material is flexible as we can choose it by ourselves.
- Class time is flexible as long as Jenny could finish the daily courses before the end of the day. So she didn’t have to wake up very early in the morning.
- As her teaching coach, I could give Jenny much more attention than she could get from any teacher in a normal school. If there is anything she couldn’t understand, I will repeat it again and again till she got it. This won’t happen in a school classroom.
- Avoid wasting of time. Going to normal school, Jenny had to waste an average of two hours daily for the commute from home to school. Even in school, there are so much waiting time, non-study time, after-class events/activities, which are not suitable for every kids.
- By traveling around the west coast, Jenny learned a lot from her traveling experience, met many new friends and witness so many beautiful scenic views all around the West.
